Review: Burberry Light Glow Blush in Misty 08

Looking at my blush collection, I thought it was about time to put the spotlight on Misty by Burberry. For any avid readers, you may have seen me post on my Burberry purchases before (if not, click here!)

If you haven't, I'll tell you a little bit about Misty:

The shade is most appropriate for light to medium coloured skin as it is a paler pink with slight cool undertones. This is probably what drew me to it, although I have to admit that compared to some of the more vivid and vibrant colours on offer, Misty does somewhat seem like the 'wallflower' of the collection on first glance. Despite the soft  and unassuming colour of this blush, it really packs a punch in terms of pigmentation. the swatch I did for this post is just one swipe, and you can build it up nicely to a very pretty shade of pink.

This is a matte blush, so perfect for everyday wear, and it applies beautifully, lasting well throughout the day.

Review: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushes were a much-hyped release a few months back. I researched them a lot before buying and it took me a long time to decide between shades. I decided on Diffused Heat out of the more pigmented blushes of the collection. This, to me, is a happy medium between Radiant Magenta and Luminous Flush in that it is more pinky-coral rather than fushia or reddish-toned.

I am looking at the swatch on my arm now and the picture I took does not even do it justice. It has a muted, neon quality to it, unobtrusive sparkle and just looks like the adjective 'happy' personified. I love this shade and it really brightens up the complexion with a 'glow'.

Review: Charlotte Tilbury's Cheek to Chic Blush in Love Glow

Feast your eyes on this gorgeous packaging. This is my review of Charlotte Tilbury's 'Cheek to Chic' blush in Love Glow which I would describe as being a finely golden-shimmered, warm pink (outer part), with the inner part being a cooler, lighter pink.

Review: DiorBlush Rose Libertine No. 939

Rose Libertine (shade 939) was my pick of the Vibrant Colour Powder Blush range by Dior. For me, this was an investment blush, so I therefore researched it a lot before I finally purchased it. Ideally we would all visit counters before we part with our money, but if you live outside London, that is not always possible for some brands. My research told me that it would be a good shade for my fair skin and I was right! This blush is now the pride of my ever-growing collection. Here's why:
