A Photo a Day 2020 #273

I shot this in pop colour mode and then added the miniature feature in editing. Sometimes I apply effects when shooting; other times I add effects after. This photo had so many lovely, vivid colour blocks and I wanted to emphasise the orange for this month's colour theme. I named it after a track on a 'The Imagined Village' albums.

A Photo a Day 2020 #268

I shot this on a sepia mode and played up these tones. A lovely walk a few weeks ago before workload got heavy... Maybe I'll get another opportunity for an Autumn stroll this coming weekend.

A Photo a Day 2020 #190

This was taken in February 2020 just as Coronavirus was starting to be mentioned in the news more. Storm Dennis was visiting and our trip to the city coincided with this. Look at the rectangles of light on the pavements-- such a cool effect!

Chinatown, in the West End, London.
This was taken in February 2020, just as people were becoming aware of Coronavirus. People were starting to be wary of this area due to the links to China. I can't wait to visit again someday.

Sunglasses Weather

This was taken on Saturday on a walk into the local countryside. The weather was just right, not too hot or too chilly. There was a nice breeze and I was in a T shirt and had a hoodie tied round my waist, 90s style. It felt free, like a blast from the past, when there were fewer responsibilities and there was time stretched out before me. This situation has given us all a change of perspective, one way or another.

St. James' Park

This was taken a few weeks ago on a trip to London. St. James' Park is the place to be if you want to see some top birds! Ducks, swans, geese, pelicans-- it's an ornithological haven.

Riverboat

Back in my hometown, this boat has been on the river ever since I was a child. Once I tried to go on a trip on it with my mum and grandmother. The trip was unsuccessful; the anchor was stuck and we weren't able to move forward. I never did get to make that trip. Sometimes I think I should have taken that boat tour again as an adult, for the fun of it, to see a different perspective of the River Medway rather than just admiring it from the riverbank.

Plaques

Another V&A photo today: these plaques are on the walls in the Medieval and Renaissance Gallery (one of the large open halls). I don't know much about them, but I was drawn to their colour and the creepy, life-like carvings.
