A Photo a Day 2020 #301

It's interesting to note how every month seems to have its own unique character and mood. As I've previously stated and as is evident through the lack of commentary with most photos I post recently, I am not enjoying this project at the moment.

This month is categorised by night time shots and the absence of people. It speaks to my mood-- the world's mood at a time when the future seems estranged from us all. I'm working 'hand to mouth' when it comes to photos this month and I've pretty much run out of back up shots from my folder of photos taken over the last few years...

A Photo a Day 2020 #291

I've photographed this roundabout before. I like it a lot. I never thought I'd be someone who has any particular feeling about a infrastructural features, but as roundabouts go, it's a good one.

I think I've fudged up the numbers on these posts because there are surely more than 65 days left of 2020. I wish there weren't, but there are, so I guess that's another job for me to add to the list.

A Photo a Day 2020 #218

Day one of lockdown documented here in a photo taken on a walk into a weird and sober world. It was quiet, but it felt good to finally feel less guilty for having to quarantine from work as a preemptive measure. Who knows if we had the virus as we have never been tested, but as someone in the household had a cough and I had cold symptoms (like I have all around the year working around lots of germy kids), we were told to not come in.

This day was a relief because we were all now in the same boat, not isolated from normality as before.

A Photo a Day #330

Littered

Taken early in the morning before the light was at its best, this is part of a project within a project where I have taken shots of urban environments against 'flat' backgrounds to put a focus on shapes and blocks of colour. The background is a little grainy which is a shame. I needed to balance settings out a bit better, so I may re-take this another day.
