Simple Copper Make-up Look

Winter Saturdays for me are all about relaxing, keeping cosy and warm. Sometimes I like a bit of make-up; sometimes not, but today was one of those Saturdays where I reached for my favourite Narsissist palette!

I fancied a warm, copper-brown eye, with some frosty brown eyeliner and some bright skin. As we approach the end of term at work, I am feeling exhausted and (like many of you, I'm sure) it's taking it's toll on my face! Therefore Nars Sheer Glow foundation works wonders with a light dusting of their Light Reflecting Pressed Powder. These products really do deliver on giving your skin a boost of freshness and brightness when you need it.

For the cheeks I used my Dior Blush in Rose Libertine (which is one of my most popular blogged about items!) Sadly, unless I pile it on clown style, it doesn't photograph too well, however most of us want a natural, rather than dramatic flush of colour.

For the focal point of my face, I use Nars' Fez all over the lid and blended out with a light matte shade. I love the richness of this shade- it's beautiful, warm and shimmery. Urban Decay's Mushroom 24/7 eye pencil lined my waterline and upper lash line; finally, I used a new product, Teeez's Desert Metals mascara in intense black. I got this in my Youbeauty advent calendar a few days ago, and after seeing the wand I really wanted to try it out. Let's just say, for a relatively unknown brand, it is a great mascara and you can see delivered good results with a few coats. The packaging is certainly different (in a good way, I think) as you can see.

I wore an Avon lipstick in a mid pink. I would tell you the colour, but they don't tend to name the shades, so I'll list the number in the captions.
Here are the products I used, including Nars' Fez eyeshadow, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mushroom
and The Body Shop Colour Crush lipstick in 315 (a warm glossy pink)

Finally, a shout out to another product recently bought: Anastasia's Brow Wiz in Taupe! This eyebrow pencil is really tiny, even the brush end is small, which I absolutely adore. Look forward to a comparison post on the brow pencils I've tried. What I will say is that, although my eyebrows are self-groomed and low maintenance, this pencil makes me want to bother doing them in the morning!

What make-up looks are you going for this Winter?
