Bright Spring Make-Up, featuring the Nars Tokyo duo

Bright skin, light pastel eyes and lips: Spring is on the way!

The familiar pastel shades are back for Spring, but sadly the evenings are still dark, so excuse the flash photography!
To get the fresh base, I applied the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Booster. This is a glowy primer with fine shimmer which doesn't show up obviously on the skin. Dior's Nude BB Cream went over this in a fine layer, along with plenty of Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer under the eyes and around the nose. As I'm getting older, my dark circles are getting harder to cover (these photos make them look so much better than in real life!), however I do find this concealer is brightening. Sometimes I play around with colour correction products, but don't always have time for it.

To increase the luminosity of the cheekbones, I applied a little bit of High Beam by Benefit. It's a liquid highlighter in a lovely pink tone- great for my undertones. Over this, I applied Mac's Well Dressed blush. This light baby pink has subtle silver shimmer, so provides a truly lovely brightness to the cheeks. I tweeted about this shade the other day because I forgot how sweet and pretty a shade it is, especially if you're pale.

The eyes were created using my Nars Tokyo duo. The photo shows the way the light reflects from these satin eyeshadows. I applied the silver-white shade all over my lid and into my inner corner. The lilac shade went into the creases and outer edges. I really like this duo; it's unique to my collection of make-up and can look subtle on the eyes. For Spring, this hits both the purple trends seen on the catwalks and also the pastel looks that return every season. To top off the bright-eyed face, I used a Gosh lilac eyeliner on the lower lashline and a coat of mascara.

Finally, for lips I used the gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in Nude Beige, which is actually more of a pink than a beige. This super creamy formula can be blended with fingers for a more natural finish that doesn't crease. I love this colour and the way it glides onto the lips effortlessly.

What do you think of this style of make-up? Which Spring trends do you like the most?
