Make-Up Monday #1 Natural Highlight


I'm not one for the robot-cheek highlighter look. Some people can pull off the dramatic approach to highlighter, but on the day to day, I keep it low key. I'm going to give some appreciation today for a product from Laura Mercier that I've owned and loved for years. If you like a natural glow...


Laura Mercier's Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Shade 01 is an absolutely beautiful highlight for paler to medium skintones. It is a peachy colour and very soft to apply. Here it is in the pan and then swatched below:
It is never too glittery or chunky looking on the skin and seems to just melt into the complexion. I use a fan brush or a small blush brush to apply to the (outer) cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the cupid's bow and on the brow bone. Here I am below wearing it. You can see that it is very natural and soft.
