A Photo a Day 2020 #217
This is my favourite building in Fareham to photograph and I've discussed it in previous posts which you can see below. I caught the sky looking rather tempestuous on an evening stroll which kind of makes the building look a bit 80s in a a very pleasing 'Ghostbusters' sort of way!

The day that I can return to the Tate Modern will be a happy one. This was taken a year ago in the iconic Turbine Hall of the gallery.

Landmark from Afar |
This is the amazing, brutalist Fareham Civic Offices. I seem to be obsessed with photographing this building this year. It has become some kind of symbol of comfort and home. It can be seen from all over the town, even at times where we are not able to get close to it and walk to town like we usually would (lockdown is a cruel mistress).

The colours here are more or less true to life with a few edits with the perspective and vibrancy. The paintwork on this building is very in keeping with 80s-90s decor and I took this before knowing I would be doing 'Shades of Green' this month.

Brutalist Grey |
I debated whether to include this one as its another photo of the Fareham Borough Council offices, but I love photographing it! This building is huge in comparison to the rest of the town's architecture. Many may label it an eyesore, but I think these windows look like ladders leading into the clouds.

Clocktower Grey |
This is the clock tower of St. Peter and St Paul's Church in Fareham, Hampshire. I've always admired it, walking through the graveyard towards town, but today I had my telephoto lens to get a closer look.
Apparently, the clock tower dates from 1742, one of the oldest elements of the remaining structure.
